BCD-1000 Compatibility With Point Of Sale Software: The data that the customer pole displays is formatted for it, and delivered to it by, the point-of-sale application software. Therefore, when it comes to customer pole displays specificaly, hardware/software compatibility is an issue. One of the strong features of the BCD-1000 is that it will emulate the customer pole displays of other manufacturers. If, for example, your point-of-sale application software is only compatible with Logic Controls PD3000, the BCD-1000 can emulate it. Changing the emulation settings of the BCD-1000 is simply and easily accomplished with dip-switches on the hardware, and if your emulation requirements change at some time in the future, you can easily change your emulation settings yourself, at any time. The factory default emulation setting for the BCD-1000 is for the Epson DM-210 customer pole display.
