The Metrologic SP5500 OptimusS is a compact batch portable data terminal designed for retail and light warehouse applications, including inventory and stocking. The SP5500 OptimusS has several programming options for users with different levels of programming skills and comes with 2MB of memory to accommodate users with larger inventory. You never need to worry about switching batteries - the rechargeable Lithium Ion has a long battery life and allows approximately 100 hours of scanning per charge. The terminal has an easy to view 100 X 64 pixel LCD display that is backlit for easy use in a variety of environments.
The OptimusS combines powerful features with easy-to-use software to get the user up and running in no time. It enables users to quickly scan and store their product information. After the data collection is complete, simply slot the unit into its cradle and send the data back to the host to keep information up-to-date and accurate.
Each OptimusS comes with the Optimizer software package to facilitate application development. This graphically-oriented program allows even computer beginners to quickly and easily setup the applications they wish to run on their PDT.
