This solution combines the reliable HC100 direct thermal printer with easy-to-load cartridges containing the industry's only antimicrobial-coated wristbands - Zebra's Z-Band wristbands. Compare these two simple steps with laser printing, which often requires staff to load forms into a special tray, print labels, apply a label to the band, and fold a laminate over the band.

Barcode Labels & Print Contrast: A scanner reads a barcode by distinguishing the differences between the bars and spaces. When printing barcodes you want the spaces to be light colored (highly reflective) and the bars to be dark (less reflective). The best color combination is black bars on a white background, but other color combinations will work as long as the contrast between the bars and spaces is adequate. If the contrast gets too low, the scanner cannot differentiate between the bars and spaces and therefore, to the scanner at least, the barcode appears to be invisible.
